Mishkan HaNefesh (High Holy Day Prayer Book)

Last year, TBK introduced the use of the Mishkan HaNefesh, the Reform movement's new High Holy Day prayer book.

The books are a valuable tool for innovation in our Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur experience.  The language in the books is modern and accessible, with gender neutral language and all Hebrew prayers available in transliteration.   There are inspired alternative options, a variety of study commentaries throughout the book, a variety of Torah reading options, and some magnificent new prayer alternatives.

An invitation last year to dedicate sets of the Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur books for a $36 donation per set had a great response and less than a third of the books remain available for dedication.  For each $36 donation (tax-deductible), we will include a personalized bookplate in one set of the Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur books.  This is a very special way to honor or remember loved ones or temple friends.

Moses anoints Aaron and his sons to make their priestly positions official. A cloud descends upon the Tent of Meeting, and God’s presence fills the Tabernacle.
